1. What this notice covers
This notice explains cookies and other browser storage used by NJS and by providers you choose to interact with. Cookies are small browser records sent with web requests. localStorage and sessionStorage stay in your browser but are not cookies.
2. Storage NJS currently uses
| Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase authentication cookies | Keep you signed in, refresh your session and protect authenticated account access | Session or persistent durations set by the authentication service |
| NJS local storage | Keep a recovery snapshot of an unfinished or not-yet-confirmed comparison on your device | Maximum 30 days under the current cleanup system; may be removed sooner by you or after a confirmed save |
| NJS session storage | Remember short-lived comparison, sign-in-return and interface state within the browser session | Normally until the tab or browser session ends, or the state is consumed |
These technologies are used to provide account access, preserve work the user asked us to keep, maintain security or deliver requested interface behaviour.
3. Provider-controlled storage
If you choose Google sign-in, Google may use its own cookies or storage to authenticate you. If you proceed to Stripe-hosted Checkout, Stripe may use cookies or storage on its domain for payment, fraud prevention, security and Checkout operation. Those providers control their own technologies and explain them in their privacy and cookie information.
4. What NJS does not currently use
NJS currently has no external analytics SDK, no advertising cookies and no analytics destination. Product event names are dispatched only inside the browser and are not currently sent to an analytics provider. We do not use marketing cookies.
5. Your choices
You can control or delete cookies and site data using your browser settings. Blocking authentication cookies or clearing NJS storage may sign you out, remove an unfinished recovery copy or stop requested features working. Choosing manual email sign-in avoids Google OAuth storage; leaving Checkout avoids Stripe’s Checkout storage.
6. Current consent position
The NJS first-party storage described above is used only where necessary to provide a service you request, keep it secure or preserve a recovery state you ask the product to maintain. Because NJS currently uses no analytics or advertising storage, we do not show a cookie consent banner. We will reassess this before adding any non-essential storage; if consent becomes required, we will ask before setting it.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this notice if our browser storage or providers change. Questions can be sent to admin@notjustsalary.com. See our Privacy Policy for the wider handling of personal information.
